A teacher at the Iyengar Yoga Center of Boulder, Deborah Morin supports a number of community organizations as a board member, including Look What the Cat Brought In. This Colorado Springs' nonprofit is dedicated to finding caring homes for cats and kittens that have been abused pr abandoned.

Volunteer-driven, the organization’s members undertake the daily feeding, cleaning, and provision of water for their feline charges. They also seek out creative avenues for finding foster residences for animals in their care. The nonprofit’s website features a number of success stories, including Luna, a cat adopted a year ago. The owner writes of the cat as being extremely gentle with the two young children in her family. Luna alternates between her cat condo and the owner’s bed and enjoys playing with catnip toys.
